Research involving both pine and hardwood management and reforestation, water quality and forestry best management practices, forest tree improvement and intensive silviculture is currently in place at the Center. The field trip on October 14 will focus on effects of genetic improvement and silvicultural practices on loblolly pine production, as well as on applications of best management practices in forestry operations.

Also on the property is the fully restored historic Reynolds home built in 1850 and the Reynolds Homestead Continuing Education Center.
